    Robert has been involved with The Arc for over ten years, serving as both Board member and Executive Director. 
     
    Alix Cooper
    Alix has been a member of the Board of Directors for 10 years.  Her passion is community inclusion and governmental affairs.  As a parent of a child with Autism, Alix joined the Board in order to promote services and supports for all individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as connect with other parents who understood the unique challenges of raising a child with disabilities.  Alix has served multiple roles on the Board, including President, and was a co-founder of ADAPT, a day support program originated by members of The Arc Board.

    Mandy Clouse, Secretary
    Mandy has served on The Arc Board for over ten years, and is a previous winner of the Educator of the Year award.  Mandy has served in various capacities on the Board, including Secretary and Vice President, and is a representative for Frederick County Public Schools.  Mandy enjoys assisting with social activities and is passionate about creating an inclusive community for those with disabilities.

    Ray Fowler
    Ray has been a member of The Arc Board for 14 years.  As a father of a son with special needs, Ray decided to join the Board to become more involved in the community.  Ray serves as the Musical Director of the Ohio Valley Symphony and is also a member of the Board for the Sensory Awareness Foundation.  Ray enjoys serving on the fundraising committee and learning about educational advocacy.  Ray enjoys a wonderful relationship with his son, who is a fantastic teacher.
     
    Nan Keckley
    Nan has been a member of the Board of Directors for approximately 13 years, representing the Alpha Omega Sorority.  Nan enjoys serving as the Membership Chair and is active on the Annual Banquet and Walk-a-Thon Committees.  Nan's experience as a teacher is an asset to the organization.
     
    Kelly Kremer
    Kelly has been a member of the Board of Directors for a over 10 years, having served in the early 90s and re-joining in 2006.  Kelly also serves as a Board of Directors member for NW Works and on the Winchester Special Education Advisory Committee and Special Olympics Area 13 Council.  Kelly became involved in The Arc after working with a gentleman who had a daughter with a disability as a way to give back to her community.  Kelly's main interest is community inclusion, focusing on The Arc motto "A Life Like Yours".

    Roger Miller
    Roger has been a member of the Board of Directors for over five years.  Roger enjoys working with Arc clients, particularly hosting social events and dances.  Roger is an active member of the fundraising and social activities committees.  Roger spends his time as a member of the Back Creek Ruritan club and volunteers by serving dinners at the Salvation Army and working at the Winchester Church of God Food Pantry.

    Ridge White
    Ridge became involved with The Arc/NSV shortly after his brother's death in 2011.  Ridge notes that The Arc had been very influential on his brother's life, and wants to continue improving the community for those with disabilities.  He serves as an active member of several Exhange Clubs in the local area, volunteers at Blue Ridge Hospice and Indian Hollow Elementary School, and is a member of the Board for the Virginia Youth Ballet.

    Cassie Phipps-Purtlebaugh
    Cassie became involved with The Arc Board in late 2012 through multiple collaborations with the organization.  Cassie represents Lutheran Family Services of Virginia and is one of the founding members of the Essential Pieces program, as well as sits on the Winchester Special Education Advisory Committee and is a former member of several FAPT teams in several counties.  Cassie is passionate about early intervention for children affected by Autism and ensuring all families are aware of the many resources available to them.
